Belmont Residences West Celebrates the Commencement of Construction in Langford, B.C.
Dignitaries, home buyers and the local real estate community in attendance to kick-off construction of the 80-unit residential building.
September 6, 2018, Langford, B.C. – The much-anticipated Belmont Residences West broke ground today, adding 80 new homes to the urban-meets-suburban lifestyle community in Langford, B.C., on southern Vancouver Island’s West Shore. Roughly 30 homeowners took part in the celebration, helping start the construction on their future homes.
Construction on the first phase, Crossing at Belmont, started in March and includes 156 rental units over 29,000 SF of commercial space.
“We’re very excited to be breaking ground on phase two,” said Eric Gerlach, vice president of development for Belmont Residences. “The community has been incredibly supportive of the development, so we look forward to creating even more new home opportunities for the West Shore’s growing population.”
Right-priced living
Belmont Residences is aimed at working professionals and downsizers who want to live a healthy, active lifestyle with the convenience of nearby shopping and urban amenities. Prices range from the low $300,000s to low $600,000s. A range of living spaces are available.

- $319,000 for one-bedroom suites
- $419,000 for two-bedroom suites
- $469,000 for two-bedroom flex suites.
The Belmont Market, a development by Crombie REIT, will add 160,000 square feet of commercial amenities, including a Thrifty Foods spanning 52,700 square feet as well as many other retailers and professional services. The goal is for a comprehensive community with everyone’s daily needs met right outside their front door.

The 22-acre urban property concept incorporates green spaces and landscaping. It gives the community a sense of place that reflects Langford’s surrounding natural topography.
