Belmont Residences West Celebrates the Commencement of Construction in Langford, B.C.
Dignitaries, home buyers and the local real estate community in attendance to kick-off construction of the 80-unit residential building.
September 6, 2018, Langford, B.C. – The much-anticipated Belmont Residences West broke ground today, adding 80 new homes to the urban-meets-suburban lifestyle community in Langford, B.C., on southern Vancouver Island’s West Shore. Roughly 30 homeowners took part in the celebration, helping start the construction on their future homes.
Construction on the first phase, Crossing at Belmont, started in March and includes 156 rental units over 29,000 SF of commercial space.
“We’re very excited to be breaking ground on phase two,” said Eric Gerlach, vice president of development for Belmont Residences. “The community has been incredibly supportive of the development, so we look forward to creating even more new home opportunities for the West Shore’s growing population.”
Belmont Residences is aimed at working professionals and downsizers who want to live a healthy, active lifestyle with the convenience of nearby shopping and urban amenities. Prices range from the low $300,000s to low $600,000s. A range of living spaces are available.
Prices start at:
- $319,000 for one-bedroom suites
- $419,000 for two-bedroom suites
- $469,000 for two-bedroom flex suites.
The Belmont Market, a development by Crombie REIT, will add 160,000 square feet of commercial amenities, including a Thrifty Foods spanning 52,700 square feet as well as many other retailers and professional services. The goal is for a comprehensive community with everyone’s daily needs met right outside their front door.
The 22-acre urban property concept incorporates green spaces and landscaping. It gives the community a sense of place that reflects Langford’s surrounding natural topography. Belmont Residences are adjacent to the 60-kilometre Galloping Goose Regional Trail, a magnet for runners, walkers and cyclists. Numerous lakes, outdoor spaces and parks, such as Goldstream Provincial Park, are also nearby.
Langford is one of B.C.’s fastest growing communities. It attracts people from greater Victoria and B.C.’s lower mainland looking for a quality of life balance that is affordable, has a moderate climate and the perks of urban living.
Belmont Community perks
Belmont Residences’ owners will enjoy membership of the Belmont Club. The 4,000 square feet of state-of-the-art space will be a hub where residents can meet their neighbours, enjoy family time and connect to local shops. A welcoming community room, arts and crafts rooms, music studio, kids’ room and multi-purpose area will also be part of the plan.
“The Belmont Club is one of many elements that sets Belmont Residences a part from other developments,” said Marcela Corzo, director of development for Belmont Residences. “We wanted to give home owners a space where they could foster a community, and engage with their neighbours.”
Many other amenities will include a private lounge that opens up into a landscaped terrace with built-in BBQ, outdoor seating and firepit. The building also offers not just bike racks, but thoughtfully designed secured bike storage, racks, bike wash and repair area, connection to roads and trails, a pet grooming station and kayak storage.
Starting today, September 6, Belmont Residences is launching the #MyBelmont campaign. Community lays at the heart of this campaign, where the notions of home and sense of belonging will inspire participation. The campaign is open to the general public, buyers, and their respective realtors. Based on a combination of engagement activities ranging from Sales Centre visits to sharing on social media to referring friends to purchasing a home, participants will earn points that enter them to win a variety of prizes from local merchants. The more engagement within the community, the higher their chances of winning. Additionally, there is an attractive new purchase incentive program for new home buyers and their respective Realtors.
